OUR BARGE CADHLA WAS THE COUNTY'S FIRST ELECTRIC PASSENGER SHIP
LAUNCH DAY
Our barge MV CADHLA was launched in Dún Laoire upon its arrival by trailer from the Netherlands on Monday 21st December 2009. The first lady of ceremony was her namesake, 4 year old Miss Keela (Cadhla) Rigby who cracked a bottle of Guinness Stout across her bows. She then sailed to the Grand Canal Dock where she underwent a final fitout before opening in February 2010.
